Uses:
Cook the fruit in crumbles, pies and cobblers. They are good for spiced jellies, sauces, jams and curds.
When and where to find it:
The fruits usually grow between September and October and are often found in hedgerows, woodland edges and scrubland.
Other Observations:
Another small deciduous tree growing up to 10m. Rarely thorny. Superficially similar to Blackthorn, though flowers appear with the leaves rather than before them.
