Uses:
The flowers have a fragrant and honey-like smell, pick them in full bloom and dry to make a soothing tea. You can eat the young leaves raw in salads and sandwiches.
When and where to find it:
Ready to harvest between May and July. A hybrid of wo wild limes, often planted in parks and streets, also in the wild hedgerows and woods.
Other Observations:
A tall tree, up to 45m. The leaves grow to around 6-10cm, they are long, heart shaped with pointed tips and pale hairs beneath.
