Uses:

You can eat the ripe berries raw or use them with apples in pies, crumbles, jams or fruit leathers. Dried leaves can be used to make tea.

When and where to find it: 

Best picked between early August and October. They can be found in woodland edges, scrub, banks and hedgerows.

Other Observations: 

It’s a scrambling shrub with arching prickly stems, forming thickets. Prickly leaves with white/pink flowers.
